Danica Sarosy

As I try to put these past fifteen years of my life into one letter, I find myself overwhelmed with emotions. Although I am sad that my time here as a student has come to an end, I can help but be grateful for everything CMC has done for me. This studio has truly become a second home for me and I’m so lucky I can leave with so many great memories to look back on.

I want to start by giving thanks to my parents because truly without them none of this would have been possible. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to do what I love and for giving me the support I need to keep pursuing my dreams. Thank you for all the sacrifices you have made for me to keep going. You’ve been my biggest fans from the beginning, and you believed in me when I found it hard to believe in myself. Through countless competitions, recitals, to even watching me dance repeatedly throughout the house, without your constant love and support, I couldn’t even imagine where I would be today.

Next, my teammates- it’s hitting me just how much I’m going to miss dancing with all of you. We’ve grown up together on that stage and in the studio; sharing laughs, tears, and countless memories. You’ve been more than just dance friends; you’ve been my second family. You got to know me and truly understand me more than anyone else. From our very first recital to our final performance, every moment with you has meant the world to me. Though I’m moving on to a new chapter, I’ll always carry our memories and the bond we’ve built in my heart. I couldn’t have ever wished to have done this with a better group of people, and I love all of you more than you know.

I give huge thanks to all my teachers. You guys always saw something in me that I could never see in myself. You’ve all helped me reach down and figure out not only who I am as a dancer but as a person. You’ve taught me much more than the steps and techniques I need as a dancer, you’ve taught me how to find strength and confidence in myself. Thank you all for every opportunity you have given to me and for pushing me to become the best version of myself I could be. Without your patience, encouragement, and connections we’ve built I wouldn’t have had the base I needed to build up from. Quite literally through blood sweat and tears you guys have seen it all. I couldn’t have done any of this alone but especially not without your endless support and cheering me in from the sidelines.

The last person I want to thank is Mrs. Marj. I wish I could go back and tell myself when I was three walking into my first dance class that the woman teaching me would end up become like a second mother to me. Thank you for all the time and patience you’ve had with me. You’ve always been such an inspiration to me. You’ve seen my grow and taught me how to be confident in my own skin. You pour live and dedication not only to me but to the studio as a whole and it shows. I’ll always carry with me the lessons you’ve taught and how you’ve used them to shape me into a better person.

As I am getting ready to take this next step in my life, I just want to say how deeply thankful I am for this entire journey. CMC has given me so much; lifelong friends, incredible mentors, unforgettable memories, and a second home. Though I’m moving on, everything I’ve learned and experienced here will always be a part of me. This chapter may be ending, but the love, strength, and passion I’ve found through my dance family will stay with me forever. Although this may feel like a goodbye, we all know it isn’t. I love you all, thank you.

- Danica

Danica,

It seems like just yesterday you were our perfect baby girl that completed our family, and we blinked and arrived at your senior year.

As a “little Dani” you spread your wings and tried hockey, figure skating, lacrosse, baseball, and swimming but from day one your passion for dance shined through! That passion led us to CMC where you found your people and your second family.

From the friendships you made with your peers and instructors to the self-confidence you developed, we know you have the tools to get through anything life might throw at you.

The road has not always been an easy one and at times you lost your way but through dance and the wonderful CMC family members you were able to not only find your way but thrive.

As we end this chapter and get ready to start the next, use the tools you developed throughout the years from the people that love you. The path may get bumpy at times, but you will always have a place with your family and CMC to support and cheer you. Love you! Go Pioneers! Merde!

Love,

Mom, Dad, Gehrig, Holden and Nala
